If you have full coverage insurance (comprehensive coverage) we collect nothing from the customer/policy holder unless there is a deductible due. If the policy was written in Florida, South Carolina, or Kentucky regardless of the amount of the deductible, the deductible is waived. If the customer does not have comprehensive coverage, is from out-of-state, or the work requested is not a windshield repair or replacement, The Auto Glass Company accepts Apple Pay, Cash, Debit/Credit, Google Pay, and Zelle.
However, we will come to you if you need a new side window, back glass, or windshield. That's right! We offer mobile service for Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, Hillsborough, Hernando, and Manatee Counties. This includes our ADAS calibration service. Depending on where you are located and what time you make your appointment, we may be able to service your vehicle the same day you call. The Auto Glass Company provides a lifetime warranty on material and workmanship on all services we perform. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee glass against breakage, but we can guarantee that the job/services performed are free from defects.
Your warranty covers defects in the glass such as blurriness and lamination problems. We also guarantee against leaks, wind-noise, molding problems, and anything else that may arise. Due Diligence, Become Empowered! We Are A Network Shop.
It’s important to remember that you have a choice when it comes to who installs your auto glass or works on your vehicle in any situation. Your insurance company may recommend a particular shop but you do not have to use someone they recommend, you have the right to choose whichever shop you like. However, if you choose a "network" shop, that means you are protected from anything that could go wrong. Network shops must meet minimum requirements set forth by your insurance company such as quality of work, be licensed and insured, customer service expectations, provide a lifetime warranty on all work performed for their policy holders, etc. You will also have peace of mind knowing your policy premium will not be negatively effected because all network shops have already agreed to pricing specifics with your insurance company.
We know its very tempting to call one of these companies who offer cash for your windshield... DON'T BE FOOLED! The only way for them to recoup their money is to bill your insurance company an inflated amount. Usually double the fair market rate. When your insurance company doesn't agree to the billed rate they will issue a payment to the glass company for what they feel is fair also called "Short Pay." In turn, the glass shop will then file a lawsuit against your insurance company because they weren't paid their inflated amount.
A good rule of thumb, if they're offering money for your windshield or a cash incentive for you to use their company, they are not a network shop.
Short Answer, YES!
Florida statute 316.610 reads:
"It is a violation of this chapter for any person to drive or move, or for the owner or his or her duly authorized representative to cause or knowingly permit to be driven or moved, on any highway any vehicle or combination of vehicles which is in such unsafe condition as to endanger any person or property, or which does not contain those parts or is not at all times equipped with such lamps and other equipment in proper condition and adjustment as required in this chapter, or which is equipped in any manner in violation of this chapter, or for any person to do any act forbidden or fail to perform any act required under this chapter."
In case you just skipped over the technical jargon, it means the police can stop you if they believe your car is unsafe. Also, it is a primary offense, meaning you do not have to be doing anything else wrong for them to stop you. You can have your hands at “ten and two”, going three miles under the speed limit and maintaining your car in the lane perfectly… but if your windshield is cracked, you may still see sirens in your rearview mirror.
If this happens, then you will be facing a variety of unfavorable outcomes. If the police officer lets you off with a warning, then you will
still have to spend several anxiety filled minutes alongside the road. If the police officer writes you a ticket, then you will have to pay it AND get the windshield fixed within 30 days, this is not a "fix-it" ticket. The cost of this violation is $166. However, if the police officer decides your vehicle is not safe to drive, then you could be forced to have it towed at a substantial cost… and, of course, the ticket.
While the last scenario may seem unlikely, Florida Statutes do not specify what the measurements, length, or placement of windshield damage would be to render a vehicle unsafe to drive. Therefore, it is up to the police officer’s discretion. Do you really want to be in that situation?

"Comprehensive Coverage; deductible not to apply to motor vehicle glass.—The deductible provisions of any policy of motor vehicle insurance, delivered or issued in this state by an authorized insurer, providing comprehensive coverage or combined additional coverage shall not be applicable to damage to the windshield of any motor vehicle covered under such policy."

With our free mobile service, upon arrival at your home, place of business, or anywhere else you may be, our certified technician(s) will walk around your vehicle with you to do a pre-work vehicle inspection. From that point your vehicle should be as good as new within 60 minutes. We use fast-cure adhesive/urethane, which will allow you to safely drive your vehicle 30 minutes after our technician has completed your service call. For vehicles equipped with ADAS safety features, please allow an additional 35 minutes.
Here are the answers to your question:
1.) If you go with an auto glass company that agrees to your insurance companies pricing you will not have any problems or negative effects on your policy.
